Glass House Recovery

Where we serve · Baltimore

Outpatient rehab near Baltimore.

About thirty minutes west of the city, in Old Ellicott City — PHP, IOP, and dual-diagnosis treatment for adults from Baltimore City and County. Far enough to feel like a different environment, close enough to actually show up.

Glass House Recovery

A little distance, on purpose.

For a lot of people, getting a little room from the usual streets, the usual people, and the usual routines is part of what makes early recovery possible. We’re a straightforward drive out US-40 or I-70 — not across the state, not out of it.

We treat people from across Baltimore City and County. If you’re in Catonsville, Arbutus, Halethorpe, or the western suburbs, we’re practically around the corner; from downtown or the east side it’s about half an hour.

What we offer the Baltimore area.

Two levels of outpatient care — PHP for a more immersive, full-day container, and IOP for flexible afternoon groups — both dual-diagnosis by default, because addiction rarely travels alone.

It’s a hybrid program by design. The intensive work happens in person in our small, uninstitutional space, and online sessions cover the days when a thirty-minute drive is the difference between attending and not. The point is to keep you in treatment, not to make treatment a second job.

Baltimore, answered.

  • Do you treat people from Baltimore?

Yes. We’re in Ellicott City, just west of the city line, and we treat people from across Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Closer-in areas like Catonsville, Arbutus, and Halethorpe are only ten or fifteen minutes away.

  • How far is Glass House from Baltimore?

About thirty minutes from downtown, depending on traffic — a straightforward drive out US-40 or I-70 to I-695. From the western suburbs it’s closer. For PHP or IOP a few times a week, it’s a realistic trip.

  • Why leave Baltimore for treatment instead of staying in the city?

For some people a little distance from the usual streets, people, and routines is part of what makes recovery possible. Our space in Old Ellicott City is deliberately small and uninstitutional — and where the drive is the obstacle, we use online sessions to fill the gaps.

  • Do you take Baltimore-area insurance, including Medicaid?

We accept most commercial plans (BCBS/CareFirst, Cigna, Aetna, TRICARE) and Maryland Medicaid (HealthChoice) for eligible residents. We verify your specific benefits and walk you through any out-of-pocket costs before you commit.

Half an hour from a different kind of recovery.

One short message is enough. We’ll help you figure out the right level of care and what your insurance covers — usually the same business day.
